Construction Craft Workers primarily work on construction sites where their tasks include site preparation, cleanup, and working with materials such as concrete, masonry, steel, wood, and pre-cast components. They contribute to a variety of structures, including industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. Construction Craft Workers spend most of their time outdoors regardless of weather conditions, and may be required to work at heights, over water, or in confined spaces and excavations.
The Introduction to Construction Craft Worker program combines in-class theory with practical, hands-on training in formwork, concrete work, and other essential construction tasks, providing participants with a strong foundation for entry into the industry.
To apply, individuals must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and residents of Nova Scotia. Applicants to this program may also qualify for financial supports; please discuss at time of application.
